Art and Linda Lowell
Newberg, Oregon
specializing in
cashmere and boer goats, guardian dogs, and fine fibered llamas
Llamas
Our goal is to offer llamas with
fine fiber, both traditional and suri coated with gentle, friendly
temperments. We have a wide variety of llamas ranging from full
Chilean and Bolivan to North American crosses. We appreciate the
small llamas because they are easier to handle and still retain
the wonderful qualities of their larger pasture mates. We breed
for good conformation, fiber quality and good disposition and
cuteness in both the small and regular sized llamas. Many may
qualify to be registered as miniature
llamas when they become 3 year olds.
Our Sires

Francisco
has everything we are breeding for: Great temperament, fine, suri-type
fiber and a great face. Of course, he also has great conformation,
ears and bone. He has turned out to be a minature. Francisco is
half Chilean and half Bolivian.
Duke is
a full Chilean and has sired many crias for us. As you can see,
he has tons of nice fiber and his coloration sometimes makes for
some pretty flashy babies. He is the father of Francisco. His
conformation is excellant and he is on the small side. He is an
experienced breeder, and we are offering him for sale. Born 2/18/99.

Mystic
has only recently matured to breeding age, and will be producing
offspring in the near future. He is a full-sized boy out of Bidesign, and Shandon SSRMT, a solid silver
Don Divo granddaughter. He has great fiber, which is actually a steel gray
underneath the bleached brown top coat. He is also as tame a boy
as we have ever had.
Llamas
for Sale
We got
lazy last year and only made three babies. All three have the
qualities that we are looking for. What they have in common, besides
cuteness, are very sweet dispositions. They are not at all hand-shy
and they let you touch them pretty much anywhere. If you like
llama kisses, these are your babies.

Princess
Pea was sired by one of our small, full Chileans, Duke. Duke has
tons of flashy, colorful fiber. Princess' dam is Piccadacious,
a full Bolivian, black daughter of Piccolo and mother of Fransisco
with good conformation and excellant fiber. Princess was born
6/5/06. If she is not a true miniature, she will likely be on
the small side. This is the case with both parents. She was very
fawn-like as a baby and still retains that same elegance of form.
As you can see, she is especially cuddly and touchable.

Star Nova
was sired by Francisco and his dam is Rosalea. He was born on
6/13/06. Rosey is a full Chilean, so that makes Star 3/4 Chilean,
1/4 Bolivian. Star has extremely fine, white fiber and an adorable
face. He will definitely be a miniature. We don't play favorites,
but Star is awefully irresistable to us

Cristabella
is a very pretty little red and white paint with fine, silky fiber.
Also a Fransisco baby, her mother is La Nirvona, a full Bolivian.
La Nirvona is a full-sized tri-color girl with a very cute face
and a wonderful, full coat. Cristabella was born on 7/30/06. She
definitely has an attitude (halter-training was quite a contest,)
but this is not to say that she is unfriendly.

Do you like redheads?
Here is a lovey little beauty for you. Paloma is very sweet and
has striking red and white fiber. She is 3/4 South American. FGL
The Chilean Duke is the sire, out of Fonzy, a full Chilean outcross.
LCV Tabochi is the dame, out of Woolly Toes. Paloma was born 4/29/03
and has a beautiful face and a pleasing personality. She is not
quite a mini, but she is small (as you can see.)

GLF Seattle Mariner was a Fonzy baby,
born 3/26/98. He was our first herd sire, and he gave us exactly
the kind of crias we were hoping for. No, he's not flashy, but
he offers excellant conformation, bone and ears and rich, mahogany
fiber that is wonderful to spin. He's full Chilean and rather
small. He can really strike a nice pose.

We also have a number of what we consider
pet quality females that we are not featuring, but may be right
for you. They include North Americans, Chileans, Bolivians and
crosses. Come on by and see if there are any who appeal to you.
